Problem with expired certificates

Post by amutch »

When users go here:

https://www.us.army.mil/

they get a page from IE about the certificate being expired. If PWB, if you try to continue to the site, you get stuck in a loop of warning pages. In IE, it allows you to continue to the page.

IE 9
PWB 2.11.3
Windows 7

Using an unedited INI file with PWB v2.11.3, IE 9, and Windows 7, we are able to proceed to the web site.

Try using an unedited INI file to see if you have the same results.

Scott,

I did some more testing and found that it's only a problem on a handful of Windows 7 computers. All the computers use the same INI file so I don't think that's the source of the problem. Also, all were installed from the same image so I don't think it's anything related to PWB-specific files. I suspect it's something with a setting in IE 9 that I'll have to dig around some more to figure out the source of the problem.

The easiest way to resolve IE issues is to delete the user profile and have Windows recreate it. This will also recreate the IE default settings for the user.
