After checking the .ini file, the [Security]DisableDownload is set to FALSE. I know of no other equipment or filters here that would stop the opening of an email attachment. Anything else I should look at? BTW, I kept most if not all of the set defaults in the .ini file since most of the .ini file s...

IE didn't work on any user logged in. But... Since I posted the original thread I fixed the problem. I believe the problem was corrupt .dll's or missing .dll's from the OS caused by this trojan I received. I got real desperate and did a Windows XP repair using the reinstallation disc and apparently ...

Email attachments not opening
We are running Windows XP, IE7 and PWB v. 2.10.9.
Having a problem with patrons not able to open their email attachments when they click on them. Is this something PWB is blocking? If so, what can be done to allow these files to open up by clicking on the attachment within their email provider?

Internet Explorer 8 not connecting to Internet but PWB does
Got an infection (trojan, malware, etc.) of some kind on my computer (Windows XP SP3) in library and thought I cleared it all out but IE8 and Firefox do not connect to the Internet. Ran a scanner and it appears all is cleared. This infection altered my DNS settings and I reset them. Checked all of t...

Videos not playing on www.imdb.com
Scott, I updated some computers with version 2.10.8 and now the videos (trailers) on www.imdb.com will not run. All we get is a white screen where the video usually plays. Apparently these videos require Flash Player and it is and has been installed on these computers with version 10. Those computer...

I will download 2.10.9 and try it. Will let you know the results.Scott wrote: Testing PWB v2.10.9 will simply help determine if the fix that was added for the empty JavaScript function will allow the web site to work with PWB.
If PWB v2.10.9 works we will remove the beta tag from the executable.

Website Not responding in PWB
Scott, I sent you an email to support@teamsoftwaresolutions.com regarding my issue and your recommendation (reply) to upgrade to version 2.10.8 did not work. I will try to be more helpful with the details. The link below takes you to the website in question. Using our public computers, when one atte...

Re: PWB Crashes
Checking event viewer has (with one exception out of probably 10-15 crashes) revealed pwb.exe as the faulting application, flash9d.ocx version 9.0.47 as the faulting module, and the fault address as 0x0004d9f1. After we saw this the first time, we realized we hadn't installed java and took care of ...

Re: PWB Crashes
We've recently done a new deployment using 2.10.1. These machines are being used as email kiosks with links to popular email providers on a homepage. The decision was also made to leave the address bar intact, meaning patrons can browse anywhere they want during their 10-minute session. Therein lie...

Sorry! You are currently not allowed to access the ftp proto
My public computers running PWB 2.x on a domain environment gets this message, "Sorry! You are currently not allowed to access the ftp protocol" when trying to download a file from a ftp website. For example (this is the actual scenario): ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software3/dj1162/dj-20...

PWB & Google Maps
For some unknown reason, our public PCs running PWB v. 2.10 are having trouble displaying Google Maps and its' pages. The page/text is totally scrambled and the maps are not displaying; the page displays the text, "Loading" indefinitely. This seems to be a recent problem but not sure for h...

Saving Files through PWB 2.x
Problem: Can someone explain how to allow patrons the ability to save files on their flash drives. Some patrons try to right click on an image in a webpage to "save target to" a flash drive but PWB doesn't offer the drive letter. We want to offer patrons the ability to save anything onto t...
