Hello, I have the same problem, with AutoRestart v1.0.1.0 . It is set as a shell. I had tried all above solutions, and only AutoRestart parameter in registry makes any difference. I need to create a button on a web page that will perform the same action as the time out - clear the cache, close all windows and open a start page. Something like a log-out button.
