Any other responses to this?
We are having the same issue and we are using version 2.10. I tested AIM Express using IE7 on the same computer and had no problem, but with PWB, you just get a blank buddy list window that seems to be loading, but nothing more happens. Is anyone else having this problem, or has anyone figured out h...

TrustNoExe?
Are you running any other security software in the background, such as TrustNoExe or something that would prevent Java or Flash player to run correctly? We had the same problem for over a year and never figured out why PWB kept crashing randomly. We finally uninstalled TrustNoExe and have not had th...

More than fair
I agree - the increase is very fair for an invaluable product.

IE too
Well, I found out that IE was crashing in Real Player too. So when I updated Real Player, the problem stopped. I think it has been resolved! Thanks for getting back to me.

Real Player
We are using PWB version 2.08, although I did test it with the beta 2.09 to see if that would help. It is on Windows XP Professional computers with IE 6 with all of the updates. I was able to make it crash immediately by going to Amazon.com, selecting a music CD, and then trying to listen to the cli...

PWB crashes when using Real Player
Is anyone else having a problem with this? It took us a while to figure out a common denominator for PWB crashing intermittantly and it seems like the times it usually does it is when a patron is trying to open up a file that uses Real Player. Is there a trick to fixing this, or is it just us? Thank...

Ancestry.com
Thanks for replying so quickly, Scott. We have a library account, but we do not have access from outside the library. We access it through IP address authentication. If there's any information I can give you that will help you to fix this, please let me know and I'll try to give you all I can. Just ...

PWB crashes on exit from Ancestry.com
This has just started happening recently: When you exit Ancestry.com you get an error message stating that PWB MFC application has encountered a problem and needs to close. The only thing you can do then is to reboot the computer. We are using version 2.8.4 and I can't find anything in the configura...

I have a shortcut to PWB in the Windows startup folder so that it starts when Windows starts up. Is this where I'd put the Checknet program as well? As for the PWB crashing problem, we are running it as the shell, but the address bar is not hidden. It seems to crash randomly; I haven't seen a patter...

I need more help!
I downloaded the Checknet.exe but I don't know where to put it. I am pretty inexperienced with this kind of thing. Do I install it, or type something in somewhere? Also, have you heard of anyone having a problem with PWB randomly crashing and going to a blue screen (not BSOD) - just a blue backgroun...

No page to display - Action Cancelled on reboot
Whenever our Internet computers reboot, they go to a blank page that says, "No page to display -- Action Canceled -- Internet Explorer was unable to link to the Web page you requested. The page might be temporarily unavailable." If we click on the Home button or Refresh, it displays our ho...

another problem
I am also having a problem. I am trying to configure for a public catalog, where there is no need for a toolbar. I have it all locked down, but when I try ALT+F4, it bounces me right out of the browser. How can I lock that, but allow access to the desktop for myself with a password. I have tried the...
