Question About URL.txt

Post by cceller »

We have used PWB for almost 2 years and love it. As we are adding some downloadable audio links to our catalog (urls to other sites) we find the need to block urls other than our catalog.

I think I understand the process but want to be sure, the URL.txt file is simply a text file we create and store ....

Using a couple of settings in the ini we point to that URL.txt ?

Or am I totally off my rocker?

Thanks!

Chad

The URL filter file is just a text file that PWB reads. It needs to start with either "-all" to prevent all URLs, or "+all" to allow all URLs.

The URL filter is pretty straight forward once you understand it. Allow (+all) or deny (-all) everything, then if you have allowed everything deny something (-URL), if you have denied everything allow something (+URL).

+all
-URL
-OtherURL
-MoreURL

or...

-all
+URL
+OtherURL
+MoreURL
