PWB as shell problem HELP!

Post by cheagy1066 »

Running WINXP SP3 IE7. PWBv2.
I have set up PWD for childrens computers to only access one site (kids games) Had problems with others useing them. so set up Hide gui and setPWB shell to disable alt key, windows key, etc.

After setting it up it did what I wanted, but now when I exit PWB with override, NO desktop, I cannot access anything. no taskbar, start, of course because i blocked them. HELP

Thanks,
Chris

If you used SetPWB to set PWB as the Windows shell, you will no longer have a Desktop, Start button, or Task tray, since PWB is replacing "Explorer", the Windows shell that gives you those items.

The easiest way to reset this is to delete the Windows user Profile and have Windows recreate it.

You should use HideGUI instead of SetPWB.
