Aimexpress and webmessenger

Post by framos »

I was able to add shortcuts to aimexpress and webmessenger in the shellbar (i figure if patrons have this option first, they won't be tempted to install aim or msn messenger).
webmessenger works fine (webmessenger.msn.com) and aimexpress will open the login page (aimexpress.aim.com), but after I type in my username and password for aim express and click login, it starts to open the buddy list and quickly closes it.

It works fine in updated IE 6.

I'm using PWB ver. 2.05 with +all in the url.txt.

Thanks

Do you have pwb set to close any pop up windows? That's what I'm thinking. If you have the pop up button displayed in the toolbar you can turn it off and see if it allows the screen window to stay. Otherwise, I'm sure Scott has other suggestions.

Send a copy of your INI to Support@TeamSoftwareSolutions.com. Using a stock INI file with PWB v2.05 http://aimexpress.aim.com/ works correctly.

Try adding the following line to your INI file.

[SecondWindow]
...
CloseChildrenOnClose=False
...

This was functionality was added to later versions of PWB v2.05 as a hidden feature and announced in the release version of PWB v2.06.
