Just to let you about the ManageDL and TDownload. I've recently installed an configured the two utility for the PWB's download manager. I've come into a little problem that was simple to fix.
Here's what happened:
I logged in as a standard user and launched PWB, browsed a few web sites and decided to test the Download manager with a standard user rights.
Came across a problem when I try to download a patch from http://voodoofiles.com/10074, this is when I would get the error message about the Download Manager.
The error message states:
Error opening registry
"Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\TeamSoftware Solutions\TDownload\Drives".
Error opening registry
"Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\TeamSoftware Solutions\TDownload\DownloadOK".
Error opening registry
"Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\TeamSoftware Solutions\TDownload\Title".
Error opening registry
"Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\TeamSoftware Solutions\TDownload\Button1".
Error opening registry
"Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\TeamSoftware Solutions\TDownload\Drive Error".
Error opening registry
"Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\TeamSoftware Solutions\TDownload\badFileName".
Error opening registry
"Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\TeamSoftware Solutions\TDownload\DownloadOK".
Pop Up Window
TDownload
Retry Cancel
My simple fix - launched "Regedt32", accessed "Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\TeamSoftware Solutions\" and gave full access right to users and pass the rights to the subfolders.
Tried it again - now it works. When I click on a link to download the EXE or a File, I would be prompted to save only to the allowed drives - which is the removable diskettes, the floppy and zip disks only.
Scott, thnx for all the help I got when dealing with the PWB.EXE.

Vin,
I got this error, even after giving access rights to the whole teamsoftware solutions folder:
Unable to access application to download: http://nforcefiles.net/afilesa2aa/patch/BW-110.zip
I made sure in regedit32 that the path to the folder was correct and gave full control to the Users group, since the public access the web while logged on as a User. I still got that error.
Any Ideas?
Phil

The ManageDL system needs at least read access to the following registry key.
"Hkey_Local_Machine\Software\TeamSoftware Solutions\TDownload"
Thanks for the tip.
The error message "Unable to access application to download: ..." means that ManageDL could not locate the application to download the file. This can becaused by not having the correct key in the registry, or the value of the key does not point to a valid application.
Use the ManageDLSetup utility to set the correct path to the download application.

Scott,
This is the path I have in the Application to Open text field:
C:\Program Files\TeamSoftware Solutions\Manage Download\TDownload.exe
And this is what is in the ManageDL Path:
C:\Program Files\TeamSoftware Solutions\Manage Download\ManageDL.dll
It is both registered and enabled.
I looked at the registry path permission setting for Admins and Users for the TDownload. I right-clicked on the TDownload folder and chose permissions. It says in the 'Permissions for Users' field in the Allow checkbox that Full Control and Read are both checked off, and it still wont work.
