inactivity shutdown event

Post by Guest »

I would like to have a couple of stations dedicated to one website however once the site is accessed it becomes a session and with licensing restrictions it would not be good to have the machines turned on while there are no patrons using it. Is there a way of creating an event that if after a specified time of inactivity the machine shuts down as opposed to restarting the browser etc.

Thanks,

Rene

I think it would make more sense to have maybe a local home page with a button that linked to the site, and have PWB restart after inactivity.

You can use "shutdown" as the inactivity action and have PWB shutdown the computer.

It doesnt seem to be working. I try and use the shutdown action and when the timer gets to zero the computer does not shut down. I get an error message "openprocesstokenfailed".

Thanks,

PWB v2.06 revision 2 has a bug in it that causes the error on Windows XP computers. It has been fixed it in PWB v2.06 revision 3 beta.

Please let me know if you have trouble with this revision.
