I know this has been discussed before so forgive me Scott if I forgot what you said but if a patron types in the command: file://C:\ into the address bar the contents of the drive will be shown. Is this a PWB issue or a Windows issue? As you know I use some tweaks from www.winguides.com but I haven't found any that cover the disabling of this command. Am I missing something?

Thanks

You can use the PWB URL filter to filter out the C: drive.

You can also use the Only Access HTTP setting in the security section of the INI file.

OMG,
I'm such a knothead. I didn't even realize. Thanks Scott. I also noticed that an Access Message comes up, I assume to chastise anyone trying to access the drive.

You don't want to know what message I have in my file

MUAHHAHAHHAHHA!!

Philip

P.S. What if someone needs to access an FTP site? This can't be done using the Access HTTP only command, do I need to use the URL filter? Sorry, I'm such a n00b today.

If you want to allow anything other then HTTP sites, then only access HTTP is not for you. You should use the URL filters instead.
