PWB v1 vs PWB v2

We have tried to keep PWB v1 and PWB v2 close in terms of usage, but under the hood PWB v2 is much faster and more efficient. You can use PWB v1, but we are confident if you try PWB v2, you will choose it over PWB v1. All new enhancements to PWB will only be done on PWB v2, PWB v1 is no longer being developed.

Here is a list of a few of the differences.

Functionality:
PWB v1 can not suppress the JavaScript error dialog box generated by the IE HTML rendering engine.
PWB v2 does not allow the JavaScript error dialog box to show.

PWB v1 uses a standard dialog menu.
PWB v2 uses a menu bar.

PWB v1 can disable the right mouse button.
PWB v2 can show a custom context menu, or disable the right mouse button.

PWB v2 filters, favorites, and Shellbar buttons are easier to use.

PWB v2 favorites can be nested in folders for better organization.

PWB v2 has a faster and more flexible filter system.

PWB v2 can use HTML type dialog boxes for a more profession appearance.

PWB v2 supports UNICODE multi language Global Input Method Editors

PWB v2 supports add-ons.

Efficiencies:
PWB v1 uses a looping timer to poll the systems for keyboard and mouse movement.
PWB v2 is notified by the system of the events and does not use the timers.

PWB v1 uses the IE HTML rendering engine through a Visual Basic control.
PWB v2 uses the IE HTML rendering engine directly.

Future:
PWB v2 offers us the frame work to do much more then was possible with PWB v1
