Newest PWB version Crashing

Post by jperito »

Hello,
I am having an issue with PWB and ancestry dot com
I upgraded PWB on the machine with the latest version from the web and everytime we stay in ancestry dot com for about 8-10 minutes the browser will stop responding and crash. It seems when you switch between images that this occurs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Was an older version of PWB not crashing?

If you use a stock unedit INI file, do you have the issue?

Is there any way we can access the web site via your library externally to test it?

If there is please email direct to support@teamsoftwaresolutions.com.

Thanks
Yes, an older version of PWB was crashing as well.
The website is ancestry.com and it validates based on IP address within the library.
I haven't tried a unedited version of the INI file.

Would it be possible to test an unedited INI file?

What are the steps needed to duplicate the error?

Basically, you login to ancestry.com and just search and look at the forms for around 10-15 minutes. After searching and looking at multiple forms and pics with the viewer, it will stop responding and lock up.

We used Ancestry.com for almost an hour without troubles.

What version of Windows, Internet Explorer, and PWB, are you currently using?

According to Ancestry.com support they only support 2 web browsers, Internet Explorer 7, and Firefox. Since PWB uses the current version of Internet Explorer you have installed on your computer, you should upgrade your computer to use at least IE7.

We were testing Ancestry.com using PWB v2.10.6 and Internet Explroer 8 and did not have any issues.
