Why TDownload wirtes to registry

Just wondering why TDownload needs to write to the registry. I am having issues with a public account. I want to use TDownload but cannot because the User needs At least Power Users persmissions. Can TDownload be used with a user with just User permission?

Here is a new revision of TDowload that should not attempt to open the registry keys it needs in read/write mode.

i actually found another way around it. I have put tdownload in another partition d:\ (i have created a temp partion that is hidden) the user still has user permissions and it saves no problem. I don't get it but it works.
Thanks for the help. I wil ry this on another station and let you know how it goes.
