ctrl+esc

On a windows XP machine with the latest version of PWB running in kiosk mode (non-shell) it is possible to bring up the taskbar and start button by hitting the ctrl+esc buttons on the keyboard. Is there a way of disabling this? I ahve found a way of disabling the windows logo key but not the above combination.

If you run PWB as the Windows shell the Start Menu will not be there and thus the Ctrl-Esc will not work. This also eliminates the Windows Desktop and Taskbar, and makes for a more secure kiosk.

You can use SetPWB available on the TeamSoftware Solutions download page to set PWB as the Windows shell.

I am testing the shell idea and it seems to work fine but how do I get it back to the original settings so I can make for configuration changes. I ahve tried the restore all button but it keeps coming back to the PWB as the shell.

If the restore all does not work, set up SetPWB as a shell button. This allows you to run SetPWB as the user from PWB and restore the user.
