Strange denied access message

Post by tcmpld »

PWB 2.05 - Windows XP SP1 & current updates
If the PWB computers do a goole, Ask Jeeves, Yahoo or other search engine the word search "WAVE" or or "sound wave, sine Wave", etc the default access denied message pops up and closes the search.

How do I correct this?
The young patrons are up in arms (so is the staff) as they can not complete their home work on ocean waves and such.

Thank you for your input.

You should edit the URL filter file and only have strings in it that you want to filter, or shut the URL filter off. The sample URL filter file that comes with PWB may have "-wav" will will deny access when any URL has "wav" in it.

Check out this post for a good discussion on the filters.
