Application Error Event ID 1000

Post by highlander_38 »

Hi,

We're using PWB.exe version 2.07 rev 2.
The application is installed on two W2K3 servers and the event logs on both server contain multiple Application Failure events, Event ID 1000.
We have multiple think clients accessing the application via a citrix published application.
The events are appearing 6-8 times a dayon both servers.
The comple event log message is:
Source: Application Error
Category (100)
Eventid 1000
Faulting Application PWB.exe, Version 2.0.7.2 Faulting Application PWB.exe, Version 2.0.7.2 Fault address 0x00055ab0

Any ideas??

Check your INI file for the following settings. These can cause problems unless they are needed for a specific reason.

[SecondWindow]
OpenInParentWindow=True
CloseChildrenOnClose=True
OpenInNewProcess=True

If you have any of these settings in your INI, change them to false and see if the error is fixed.

Try upgrading to PWB v2.08 as the problem that is causing the error may have been corrected in the new version.

If you still receive the error after these suggestions, please send a copy of your INI file to Support@TeamSoftwareSolutions.com, and if possible the steps to recreate the error.

Thanks for your help Scott.
My ini file had those settings set to false, so I'll try version 2.08
Can I use my current ini file with version 2.08?

You will need to update your INI file to v2.08. This can be done by using the INIUpdate utility availble on the download page.
