This has just started happening recently: When you exit Ancestry.com you get an error message stating that PWB MFC application has encountered a problem and needs to close. The only thing you can do then is to reboot the computer.
We are using version 2.8.4 and I can't find anything in the configuration file to change to correct this problem. It closes fine in all other databases.
Any ideas?

We are aware of the problem and are working to fix it.
However the best way to diagnose the problem and get it fixed would be to directly test PWB on Ancestry.com. Unfortunately we do not have an account on Ancestry.com, and repeated requests to Ancestry.com for a temporary account to test PWB on their web site have gone unanswered.
Using the free account does not have enough access to generate the error.
Any further information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

Thanks for replying so quickly, Scott. We have a library account, but we do not have access from outside the library. We access it through IP address authentication.
If there's any information I can give you that will help you to fix this, please let me know and I'll try to give you all I can. Just let me know what you need!
Thanks again,
Janet

This new version of PWB v2.09 fixes the problem with Ancestry.com.

This version of PWB is currently in beta testing, but there is little changed from PWB v2.08.4 so you should not have any problems with it.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
