Width of the shellbar

I seem to have too many IE tools, plus Shellbar buttons. It seems that the width of the shell bar buttons have something to do with the length of the text. Is that right? If so, is there a way to reduce the size of the text?

I have futzed with icon size but the buttons are still the same width. Can I have only icons, without text for some?

The size of the button is based on the length of the text. To reduce the size of the button, rename the shortcut in the shellbar folder to reduce the length of the shellbar button text.

I think I have reduced the number of letters as much as possible. THere is no way to make the font smaller?
