PWB Registration expiration

Post by Scott »

The registration license number will only be good for the length of time you have purchased, once this time expires PWB will revert back to unregistered and a new license number will need to be obtained.

Will renewal notices be sent for those of us who purchased licenses?

We will be sending out reminders to people 2 months prior to the registration number expiration date.

The new registration date will be added onto the previous registration date.
For example if you registered 8-15-02 for 1 year, and renew your subscription on 6-15-03 for 1 year, the new registration number will expire on 8-15-04, not 6-15-04.

For a server installation, how is the license number entered? I want to know if it's possible to enter it once, as oppsed to having to visit each computer to do that. Thanks.

The registration information is gathered from the INI file PWB is using. For a server installation, or when using a local installation sharing an INI from a networked location, you only need to enter the number in the single shared INI file.

PWB was designed to run from a network, and makes efforts to minimize network activity after the initial loading. The largest network load after PWB is loaded is parsing the filter text files.

Renewing old registration number?

Post by Deb Lewis »

Hi,

Is it possible to pay to renew our previous registration number? We want to avoid touching each of the PCs on which we have PWB loaded.

Thanks!

The registration number has the date encoded in it so it is not possible to use the same number.
