IE 7 and Tabs

Post by sheres54tea »

PWB does not seem to take advantage of the new tabs feature of IE 7. Is that correct or is there a setting in the .ini file to do this?

PWB does not use the tab feature of IE 7 but it does benefit from all the non Graphical User Interface aspects of IE 7.

If you are using IE 7 you should use the OptIn utility to enable PWB within the IE 7 security features.

Where is this utility and exactly what will it do?

The OptIn utility is available on the Download page.

The XP SP2, IE 7, security features will be built into the next version of PWB.

Is there a plan to offer tabs in PWB on IE7? We had some patrons inquire about tabbed browsing.

There is plans for an alternative to PWB to secure IE for use as a general public web browser as part of your PWB subscription.
