swf-files in PWB 2.10 running IE7

Post by bortero »

while testing PWB 2.10 and IE7, I came across this peculiar problem:
for one of our websites we link to a flash application using this type of link:
http://www.law.kuleuven.ac.be/lib/img/g ... fw_id=1467
in IE7, it works fine, in PWB, the file doesn't open, the screen remains blank.
In previous versions of PWB, I've never had this problem. the new entries in the ini file don't look like they could be causing this.
what's happening here?
thanks,
bert

This is a security feature of Internet Explorer 7.0.

Add the following to your registry to allow PWB to run the Flash Script.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BLOCK_LMZ_SCRIPT]
"PWB.exe"=dword:00000000

This has been incorporated into the PWBOpt_In available on our download page.

The next version of PWB will include INI options for the IE 7 security features.
