Hi,
We are using version 2.04 with autorestart enabled.
We would like to prevent students from opening new instances of the browser. But when DisableSecondInstance is set to True, and the user attempts to open a second instance, the dialog box opens up and cannot be closed. If no SecondInstance file exists, then a error message opens in place of the dialog box, and it also cannot be closed.
Does this mean that autorestart cannot coexist with DisableSecondInstance?
Thanks,
Michael.

Disable second browser instance
Scott,
We have Restart on Close enabled. I thought this was AutoRestart?? If we disable Restart on Close, they can close the first parent window, which is set to open on startup. We want to keep this first window open, but prevent them from opening subsequent parent windows.
Is there some other place where AutoRestart can be disabled?
Thanks,
Michael.

There is a program written by Eric Holt called AutoRestart that we host on this site that conflicts with some of PWB v2s more advanced options.
There is a fix in PWB v2.04 r2 that may help. Here are the few fixes in v2.04 revision 2.
Fixed Restart on close conflicting with disable second instance
Fixed Better filter reporting in history file
Fixed Activity warning resetting activity timer
