Adding a shutdown button?

Post by MasseyRob »

Hi All

We are considering setting PWB as the shell for the profile that Windows automatically logs in as on our catalogue PC's. The only real downside to this is that we have no way to shutdown the PC other than holding in the power button on the PC.

I was wondering if there is a way to add a computer shutdown button onto the button bar in PWB?

Thanks in advance for all suggestions

Rob

You could use a PWB Shell button that points to a batch file that uses the Windows shutdown command to shutdown the computer.

This will let the patrons shutdown the computer. You may be better off using the PWB Overrides Shutdown. This way only staff that knew how could shutdown the computer.

[Overrides]
Shutdown=Shutmeoff
