Runtime error 52

Every time I restart my PC which is using PBW at startup, I get an error message, "An error has occurred. Please verify all files and paths specified in .Ini file. Runtime error 52. Bad file name or number." I am able to click ok on the error message and continue to the PBW, but the messages are a slight inconvenience. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This error indicates PWB is not find a file that is listed in the INI file. Check the paths in the INI file, mainly the Bookmark file, and ensure it is complete and correct.

Example:

[Files]
...
BookMarkFile=D:\Terminal\Browser\Libraty\BookMarks.txt
...

I’ve seen this particular message before:

Message: A runtime error has occurred. Do you wish to debug?

Fist thing I did was go to IE tools/internet options/security. Set the Internet Zone security level to default level. If that doesn’t work….go into the custom level for the Internet Security Zone and make sure all the basic scripting controls are enabled. If that doesn’t work….then try setting the JAVA permissions to either “medium” or “low” safety.
