More problems with mail.com

Post by JohnE »

I'm learning to hate this site.
So mail.com did something over the weekend and we now get this result on our v2.11 XP machines. If you try to compose an email the entire page basically becomes a button that if you click it opens a dialog box prompting you to "Select a File to upload by images.gmx.com".
I also tried it on v2.10 on XP and Win7 with the same result.
Then v2.11 on Win7 which works just fine.
So what can we do to get the XP machines to work?

Thanks in advance.

What version of Internet Explorer is on the XP machines?

Also try PWB v2.11.4 which is currently on the Beta Downloads page. This version addresses some Flash, and JavaScript:void issues.

Using IE 8.0.6001.18702 on the XP machines.
I tried the v2.114 beta and still have the same results.
Updated Flash and JAva just to make sure and still the same results.

Are you running Windows 7 64 bit?

Are you using the PWB 64 bit on Windows 7?

We do have Win7 64 bit machines and using the v2.144 PWB we don't have this problem.
The ones we are having the problem with are the other machines which are XP with IE8. They are on PWB 2.10, I've tested with 2.11 and the 2.114 you pointed out and the problem still persists.

Using PWB v2.11.3 on Windows XP with an unedited INI file we do not seem to have any issues with Mail.com.

Try using an unedited INI file to see if you still have the issues.
