Print - "Server Busy/Retry"

Post by slr12183 »

Using PublicBrowser v2.11 & receiving errors when trying to print .pdf files/documents - "Server Busy/Retry" - Retry or Cancel. Have searched the forums & found various threads concerning this issue, but no resolution.

Windows XP SP3 machines, patched.
ForcePrintPreview=False

Please help.

Sorry for any confusion, Scott. My team has informed me that is an issue with opening/printing Word documents - printing to a shared (mapped) network Xerox printer.

We've just recently upgraded some of our clients to the new version of PublicBrowser v2.11. These are the ones we are getting calls about. If we go back to the older version of PWB (2.08), we don't see the issue.

We've seen this too.

PWB 2.11.4
IE 9
Windows 7
Adobe Reader 9.4.6
Office 2003/SP3

In our case, I believe it's when printing to a Word document opened from an attachment from a web-based e-mail like Yahoo. It's been sporadic so I haven't tracked the situations but I'll get more details the next time I see it. In our case, we are printing to a printer via an IP although the printer appears as a local printer on the PC. As far as I can recall, I didn't see this before upgrading to 2.11.4.

We posted PWB 2.11.5 to the Beta Downloads page. This version of PWB should correct the issue.

Please note this version only has one line change from the production version of PWB 2.11.4.
