Re: PWB crashing on Realtor.com
Realtor.com is not compatable with IE 9.
The options are, remove IE 9, contact Realtor.com and have them update the site so it is compatible with IE 9, switch PWB into IE 8 Compatibility mode, or add Realtor.com to the IE Compatibility list for the user.

Re: PWB crashing on Realtor.com
Scott,
Thanks. This was the first I had heard of that issue with Realtor.com. I'll try the compatibility list option and see if that helps.

Re: PWB crashing on Realtor.com
I did test realtor.com with IE 9 and Windows 7 on a couple of computers and didn't have any problems. I'll still try the compatibility option and see if that helps getting it to work with PWB.
Re: PWB crashing on Realtor.com
That workaround didn't work. Realtor.com is still crashing in PWB. I can confirm that it worked fine in IE 9 in and out of compatibility mode on the same computer.
Re: PWB crashing on Realtor.com
Are you using the 32 bit version of PWB or the 64 bit version of PWB?

32 bit.
Re: PWB crashing on Realtor.com
It looks like Realtor.com has updated the site that is now compatible with IE9, however it seems to be causing issues with the IE9 web browser control. We are looking into the issue.

Thanks Scott.
Re: PWB crashing on Realtor.com
The problem is the site has to many cross domain script errors for the IE Web Browser Control being caused by the change in the security policy starting with Windows XP SP2 preventing cross domain caching.
The workaround it to add the site to the Intranet Zone or disable the security feature.

Adding the site to the Intranet Zone causes the site to think IE 9 is not IE 9 preventing the site from working.

We added a setting in PWB to disable the Windows Security feature for FEATURE_OBJECT_CACHING. Although this fixes the crash it prevents the site from working correctly. You may need to disable the feature entirely. However, moving your Web site to an intranet site is one alternative that makes object caching acceptable.

Re: PWB crashing on Realtor.com
Scott,
I wasn't clear from reading your explanation if the workaround works. Does adding the site to the Intranet zone fix the problem?

Re: PWB crashing on Realtor.com
It is suppose to according to Microsoft, however adding it to the Intranet zone causes Realtor.com to think IE9 is not IE9.

Re: PWB crashing on Realtor.com
But wouldn't this problem affect IE 9 as well?
Re: PWB crashing on Realtor.com
In our testing, if you add Realtor.com to the Local Intranet the Realtor.com site will claim you are not using IE9.

Re: PWB crashing on Realtor.com
If I am reading this correctly, either fix results in the site not working as intended. So are you still pursuing a fix?
If not, what are the ramifications of disabling the Security feature? Also, for testing purposes, what is the setting in PWB to disable the Windows Security feature for FEATURE_OBJECT_CACHING?
