If We Move to v3 ... INI from v2 no longer good?

Post by cceller »

Hello folks,

Very tempted to try v3 ... my question is will I need to recreate my INI from v2 to mirror the settings in v3?

For some reason I remember some conversion from v1 to v2 but my memory is foggy these days.

Thanks,

Chad

There currently is no conversion for the version 2 INI to the version 3 INI as version 3 is still in its basic form. Once we move past the basic form testing we will be creating an INI update application.

Thanks Scott.

I may hold off the move to v3 then (plus I will likely be replacing some old thin client hardware we use because those dinosaurs are stuck at IE6 and don't handle our new library catalog well).

Any news on a tool to convert our INI's?

Thanks!

Sorry, nothing yet. We are still concentrated on adding Chrome.

Although it is relatively easy to configure PWB v3 to match PWB v2 by hand since many of the settings in the INI file match.

Yeah, I figured that out last night when I started delving into it.

Thanks!
