Copy and Paste

Post by Steve »

We did not put the copy and paste functions in either the button bar or the menu bar (Edit menu). However, if you use CTRL-V (paste) and CTRL-C (copy) shortcut keys they do work. I thought if the item did not appear in either the menu or the button bar the functionality would not be allowed in PWB via shortcut keys.

Thanks,

Steve

You need to specifically set the menu and button settings in the INI to false to prevent the Ctrl-C/V from working.

This will not affect IE plug-ins such as Acrobat and MS Word from implementing their own versions of the copy and paste functionality.

Does anyone know how to disable the Ctrl-V, Ctrl-C functions all together?

So they dont work in any program?

Thanks

Disable the Ctrl key by using a key mapping program.

Scott,

Yes I have sourced one of those, but I need something that stops the functionality too.. not just the key strokes.

We are working on a way to capture all Windows application messages in order to have the PWB inactivity timer respond to other application key strokes and mouse movement. This functionality may be able to capture the cut, copy, paste, messages and defer it to another application there by doing what you specify. No promises but we maybe able to build it into PWB, or create a small utility that can do it.
