We're still running PWB 2.11.9 on our public Internet computers. Starting yesterday, Yahoo won't load in this version of PWB. You simply get a blank screen. I tried the following troubleshooting steps:
- Downloaded and installed PWB 2.11.9 on a computer
- Browsed to www.yahoo.com
- See blank screen
The test computer has the same set up as the public Internet computers.
- Windows 7 w/SP1 - 64 bit
- IE 11 - Update version 11.0.27
- PWB 2.11.9
Thanks!
Andrew

Re: Yahoo not loading on PWB 2.11.9
Does Yahoo work in Internet Explorer on the same computer logged in as the same person?

Re: Yahoo not loading on PWB 2.11.9
The Yahoo web site does not seem to work with PWB v3 IE either we are checking into it.
I would recommend switching to PWB v3 CEF which is Chrome based instead of Internet Explorer based.

Re: Yahoo not loading on PWB 2.11.9
OK. We already Chrome locked down with Group Policy. We've kept PWB so if patrons prefer IE or run into problems with sites rendering in Chrome, they have an alternative. We don't really need another version of Chrome for our situation.
Re: Yahoo not loading on PWB 2.11.9
PWB v3 CEF can use either IE or Chrome with the following settings.
[Browser]
CheckOpenIE=True
- or -
CheckOpenCEF=True
[Files]
CheckOpenIEFile=C:\path_to\filter_file.txt
Using the above settings you can control which sites open in a Chrome window and which sites open in an Internet Explorer window.
