Scott,
How is the restricted save coming along? 8)

MUAHHAHAHAH

P.S.
Any way for PWB to display a message when a floppy drive is full? It justs pops up a memory error message that no patron would understand.

The restricted save is what is holding up the public beta test of PWB v2.05.

It is coming along. We decided to implement the restricted save as a separate DLL that interfaces directly with the IE HTML rendering engine. This will make it both more flexible and robust in the long run.

It is not Phillips fault, it is mine. I was a bit premature in hinting at PWB v2.05. What are the features you would most like to see?

Perhaps we will release PWB v2.05 to beta before the restricted download and save is finished.

Scott, I wasen't blaming Him just making fun of his previous statement. I would like to have v2.05 today but I do understand that it cant be released until it is ready.

Thanks for the update.

*SOBS HORRIBLY*

HEHEH

Unless Scott can release a version that slaps people in the cheek when they "mistakenly" look at porn, there is nothing I can think of, of great importance anyway that I'd like to see - there is that one little thing that I mentioned above about a possible message to tell people that their disk is full. Otherwise pwb elicits an error that a person would not be able to ascertain that the floppy was full.

Other than waiting for the restricted save to be released (it would be nice that people wouldn't have to choose Save Target As... maybe? ) PWB works fine for me. :D

Scott,

Did you ever release the Beta to 2.05?
Will the next General release be 2.05?
Well while I am at it... 8) Will the next release have user definable
Favorites in it?

Thanks,
Bob.

There were a few minor bugs in v2.04 that needed to be addressed. This put PWB v2.05 on the back burner. Now that v2.04r4 has been released we will again start working on v2.05.

Yes, one of the major features of PWB v2.05, will be user definable favorites including organization of them, just like IE. This of course will be defined in the INI file with an option to not allow it.

And what of the infamous restricted save issue with email attachments? How is that coming?

The TDownload business didn't pan out so well I'm afraid.

Can't wait to try it out and if anybody cares or doesn't know, the popup killer PWB uses is fanstastic. Patrons love it. Once in a while they cry to me and yell: "HEY I CANT GET A WINDOW TO COME UP!" "uhhh click the popup button and refresh the page. (fool)" duh.

What kind of problems did you have with TDownload?

It wont work in hotmail or AOL mail. I'm pretty sure I installed the Tdownload correcty but apparantly something is wrong

--Philip

Did anyone else have problems with it? I am using the latest 2.04r4

**UPDATE**. I tried enabling it again and checked the paths and they look correct but im not 100% sure. I uploaded an email with 3 attachments. A .doc file, a .gif file and an .exe file. Downloading them wasn't a problem from Hotmail, I left-clicked the download file button and it worked but when I have the directory set to the floppy only, so when I went to try and open the file from the floppy within word it just brought up a blank page. Incidentally, the gif was listed as being on the floppy but upon opening it MSphotoeditor said there was nothing to preview. The executable was just a small dell diagnostic utility that on the floppy had the old ms-dos icon so I knew it wouldn't work cause the dell icon for it is different. I tried opening it also and it gave the error 'this file is either corrupt or missing'.
