PWBv3 and Screensaver and/or Screen Blanking

I've looked through the support forums, but all the tricks I've seen to get a screen saver (or in my case, having the screen blank after 22 minutes of inactivity) to activate don't seem to work with PWBv3....or maybe I am not looking at something correctly.

I have the screen set to blank after 22 minutes of inactivity (again, though, it never goes blank). This worked with Firefox as the primary kiosk browser, but not with PWBv3 with IE engine.

What version of Windows are you using?

You have PWB set to exit after 2 minutes of inactivity, with a screen blanking at 22 minutes PWB would not be running.

If you do not start PWB does the screen blank after 22 minutes?

I think I am experiencing a similar problem. I tried to create and setup a screen saver with program advertisement awhile back and never got it working. I moved on for awhile and just came back to it today. I installed a screen saver I created and setup a group policy to turn it on but it never loads. I use the inactivity timer to go back to the home page, is PWB somehow interfering with the screen saver? I have V3.0.5.0 running currently. Another tidbit is I replaced the shell with PWB and we're running Win10Ent 1803.

It is the normal Windows Shell "explorer.exe" that runs the Screen Saver and other Windows GUI functionality. If you replaced the Windows Shell with PWB, "explorer.exe" will not be used in Windows and you will loose any normal Windows GUI functionality.

Use the HideGUI utility to hide aspects of the normal Windows Shell and run PWB within the Windows Shell to gain the Screen Saver functionality.
