Logoff / Close Browser button in Kiosk Mode?

Post by removablebrain »

I am having an issue with pages stored in memory when users press the back button. I want to add a shell button to 'Logoff' or 'Close Browser' -- is this possible?

Thanks!

Enable the Shellbar.

[Browser]
ShowShellBar=True

Copy a shortcut into the Shellbar folder to PWB Close.

[Files]
ShellbarFolder=Shellbar

This should put a button on the PWB Shellbar to close PWB.

We use this in conjunction with [Security]RestartOnClose, and [Security]ClearCacheOnClose to give the next patron a "fresh" browser.

Thanks Scott...

I already have the Shellbar enabled, and the Security functions enabled....but I am unclear on how to:

Copy a shortcut into the Shellbar folder to PWB Close.

Maybe I am just being dense, but how does one create a shortcut to close the browser?
