Zoom - ALT Plus and ALT Minus

Post by jfrasier »

It seems that our patrons are not able to zoom using those shortcut keys on our public computers. I have a mix of pwb 2.09 and 2.10. I am not sure if it is a PWB restriction or if maybe I have disabled something in Group Policy but I can't think what it would be.

Do you have a suggestion?

Thanks.

PWB up until version 2.10.5 does not support the zoom feature of Internet Explorer 7.

PWB v2.10.5 is in the final testing before release and is available on the Beta Download page.

According to some webpage it said that ALT Plus and ALT minus would zoom in IE 6 which is what we are using.

Zoom Problems

Post by kmt »

Hi. I just downloaded the newest release (2.10.5) and was able to get the Zoom Button to appear and work. The problem I'm having is with Ctrl+ and Ctrl-. Neither of those will change the zoom level. Any ideas? Thanks.

Did you add the following to your INI file?

[MenuItems]
ViewZoom=True
ViewZoomIncrease=True
ViewZoomDecrease=True
ViewZoomLarge=True
ViewZoomNormal=True
ViewZoomSmall=True
ViewZoomCustom=True

Unfortunately, I do have those lines in my ini file. I've re-typed them several times so I'm sure there are no typos or anything like that. The ctrl keys work in regular IE (I'm using ver. 7.0.5730.13) so it's not a keyboard problem. I'm out of ideas except for maybe seeing if it works on my computer at home. I can keep you posted if you're interested...

The Ctrl +/- on the main keyboard, not on the number pad, was the only combination PWB was reacting to. We have added the number pad +/- to PWB v2.10.6b currently available on our Beta Download page.
