Outlook Web Access (OWA): PWB prevents exit

When logging off from OWA this message appears:

"To complete the log off process and prevent other users from opening your mailbox, you must close all browser windows and exit the browser application."

Is there some way of allowing OWA to exit while remaining in PWB ?

If you click the OWA Log Off button you will be logged out of Outlook but remain in PWB.

Where are you seeing this message?

has this URL:
https://[mail.lsbu.ac.uk]/exchweb/bin/USA/logoff.asp

Clicking on the "close" button brings this box:

"The webpage you are viewing is trying to close the window.
Do you want to close this window?"

Clicking on "Yes" just goes back to the "To complete the log off..." window again and it remains in this loop.
