Allow Activex controls to run automatically

Post by tallonj »

I have been searching your forums for a solution that will allow Activex controls to run in your browser.

-Thanks

PWB uses Internet Explorer for its web browsing capabilities, allowing ActiveX controls in IE will allow the in PWB.

Allow Activex controls to run automatically

Post by tallonj »

Scott,
I have enabled all activex options in IE but keep receiving "command execution of file:///c:/progra~/AGS/Prior%Births%20Index/Ark%20Viewer.exe disallowed by user."

This only happens while accessing through PWB, if I click on the same link in IE without PWB, then it prompts me to allow the activex control to run?

Do you have a policy in place that prevents EXE files from running?

Scott,
It ended up that I had to add the url to IE's trusted site list, it wasnt looking at the local internet settings.
