ManageIE not blocking IE when user types into Address Bar

We're using Windows 7 with IE 9, PWB v2.

We were having a problem with users going into the help menu of Adobe Reader and launching IE through it, so we installed ManageIE, which solved the problem.

However, I've now discovered that a user can open My Computer and type pretty much anything in the address bar, and an error comes up stating:

"There was a problem sending the command to the program."

And then launches an empty IE window on top of it. The user can then type into the address bar and have complete web access.

Anything I can do to stop this?

Set the close all to DWORD:1.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TeamSoftware Solutions\ManageIE]
"CloseAll"=dword:00000000
Closes all occurrences of IE including "My Computer".

I've tried this and it didn't stop My Computer, which is actually fine because we want patrons to be able to access it to get to their flash drives and CDs.

Is there a way to get it to just not launch IE?

I've tried setting PWB as the default browser and having it launch blocked URLs, but it still launches IE in the situation I described.

An easier fix for us would be to get rid of the address bar completely in My Computer, but from the searching I've done, it seems like this is impossible in Windows 7.

You could use the Windows Group Policy to only allow specific applications.
