sites filtering

Im using PWB in my library to restrict internet but the students are using serach engines as a back door to access the internet.I tried to use the url file to block some of the sites but it causes problems eg you add mail to a text file to block e-mail access but it will block some usefull links that include mail.what can i do to solve this problem

The filter can be as braod or as narrow as you like. For example, having "-mail" in the filter file will prevent all URLs with "mail" in it from working, however, having "-mail.com" will allow URLs with "mail" in them, but not allow URLs with "mail.com".
