Launching MS-Office within PWB

Post by SPL »

I'm trying to launch Microsoft Office applications from with in PWB, when you click the shortcuts it asks if you want to safe the file or open it. Is the any way to make word, excel, access, publisher and power point to launch without that window ??

Thanks for all your help,
SPL

When you get the save dialog, check the box to not ask any more and the next time it will open without asking.

Otherwise, open My Computer, Tools, Folder Options, on the File Types tab, scroll down to the type of file, "DOC" for a Word document, click on it and click the advanced button, and check the Confirm Open After Download check box.

it's not save dialog but a download dialog.

On the download dialog box the "always ask before opening" box has a gray-out check mark on it.

You will have to edit the File Types through My Computer Folder Options to adjust the viewing of the file inside the browser window.

Please note, it is not possible to view the file within Internet Explorer and thus PWB if you are using the MS Office file viewers greater then Office 2000. You need to use the full MS Office applications. This is not a problem with Office 97 viewers.
