PWB as windows shell and wireless connection issues

Post by Guest »

I am trying to run PWB as the windows shell and all the kiosks are wireless. The problem is that when the connection is lost for any reason it wont re-establish the connection. If I open explorere.exe it opens the windows wireless client and then will reconnect. IS there a way to call the windows wireless connection client from PWB and have it run in the background? Or anyone have any other suggestions for how to fix this?

Thanks.

Instead of running PWB as the Windows shell, use the HideGUI application available on our download page. Run both HideGUI and PWB from the Registry Run key. This will allow you to disable any or all of the Windows Shell GUI, while allowing you to benefit from the underlying Windows Shell functionality such as automatically reconnecting to the wireless network.
