Send Mail Button Not Working

Over the last several weeks we are having problems with the public using Hotmail. When they click the Send button nothing happens. The Send button is displaying but does not work. If they logout and then login again this will sometimes fix the problem.

We are using PWB 2.04, Windows 200 and have the latest updates including Rollout 1 for Service Pack 4.

Scott suggested trying 2.08 but we have not had the time to test this solution yet.

Any suggestions?

This does not seem to be a problem with any of our test computers.

Try clearing the cache using the Control Panel applet Internet Options. It may be a corrupt page is stuck in the cache.

We have had intermittent problems with many forms of Webmail (Hotmail and Yahoo being obvious examples) caused by our Council's proxy server/firewall.

They are disabling certain scripts which are needed by the pages to run properly. Our problems were exactly as you describe them, but disappeared when we turned off the firewall temporarily for testing on one PC.

Council's IT department still won't play ball with us over the issue, so we have had dodgy webmail access for 9+ months
