AOL Webmail disappearing while typing

Post by spragers »

Howdy,

Today I had several patrons complain that, when using AOL Web Mail, their email messages would randomly just "disappear" as they were typing. They left in a huff, so I have no idea what actually happened, but they said it has happened several times now (this was the first I had heard of it). Any ideas?

Thanks!

Looks like we're using 2.0.7.3

And if that doesn't work, tell them to get a yahoo account. LOL!

Ok ok, that wasn't fair. I'm using 2.08 and I haven't had any of my AOL users complain about that. I'd like to know what resolution you come up with spragers, thanks.

After I get back from vacation (gone all next week, woo-hoo) I'll switch over to the latest version of PWB. I ran the INI updater, I haven't been keeping a real close watch on what's changed but it should be about the same (configuration-wise) as before. I'll let you know if we continue to have problems.

Ironically, the advice I really wanted to give them was exactly that - "well, first stop using AOL for your email service..."

But for just $25.99 you can switch to AOL Highspeed.

Oh, don't forget you also need a broadband connection to get to your AOL Highspeed?!?!?
