Well, if I would remember some settings are user specific, it would help. This is one of those settings that is set under each user. And found the registry key for it, now to find out what turns it back on after each reboot, even when DeepFreeze is in thawed mode, thus will save any changes made. An...

When you see the bar across the top, click it and select "Always Allow Pop-ups from this site". It sounds like you are also using a drive locking application such as Microsoft Steady State or Deepfreeze. After you make the changes to the pop-up filter, and reboot, the changes are restored...

PWB & Westlaw printing

Well, ran into a strange situation here, with Campus Research (WestLaw). I do not have pop-up blocker turned on in PWB or IE and it says one is on and will not allow printing. I have never turned on the pop-up blocker in PWB, and some update looks as it turned it on in IE6, but have since turned it ...

Internet Exploere 7

How will the release of IE 7 affect PWB? I am using the Beta of IE 7 and there are major changes in the browser, will PWB incorporate these changes, or will their be no affect?

Thought you had the answer

Your suggestion of setting the timer to a long time to force them to hit ok I thought would be the answer. But when the dialog is displayed and it's timer is running the timer that displays at the bottom of the browser window and the one in the title area stop counting down and when it gets to the l...

The Activity dialogs. I have the activity setup to notify the user that the browser will restart in 10 min, then 5 min, then 5 sec. The first 2 would be preferable, so they can not say they were not warned. Can this be done?

Dialogs time out

I know that I can set the amount of seconds the popup dialog windows to close, but what I require is for the user to click on the 'OK' button to make the popup go away not for it to close automatically. I have left the DialogSeconds=[blank] thinking that the timer would not start in that case, but i...

Well, found the fix to the opening error and it seems to work just fine now. The problem was in the .ini file, in previous versions the setting for shellbar didn't cause errors, and was left blank, but in these later versions you had to put in the location name in the .ini file. [FILES] ... ShellBar...

I still get the error with DeepFreeze in a thawed state, local ini file, and with the quotes removed from the shortcut. I also tried it when I am logged in as local administrator, and I get the error. Any further suggestions, this seems so strange to me and have never had any problems with earlier v...

The command line is:

L:\TEAMSO~1\PUBLIC~1\PWB.exe /s /ini="\\lib5\pbrowser\version2\first\pwb-l-restart.ini"

I use deepfreeze and the thawspace is the L: drive, where the executable resides. The ini file is on a server share. I also have the loading window displaying.

I am having the same problem with any of the versions above 2.9. I have it installed on both XP SP2 and Win 2k SPK4 with IE v.6 I have also tried uninstalling Public Browser and reinstalling it with 2.9 still the same problem. My shortcut only points to the ini file on the server, with the exe runni...
