Disable options to user

Post by aar »

can the user simply press Ctrl-Alt-Delete to end the program, and by pass it?

How do we switch from restrictions on the browser to lifting the restrictions, and back and forth?
thanks

What operating system are you using?

To really secure Windows I would not recommend using Windows 95/98/ME.

If you are using Windows NT/2K/XP, then you can use Windows policies to disable Task manager from the Ctrl-Alt-Del dialog.

We run Windows 2000 and remap the keybaord using the keyboard remap utility found with the 2000 Resource Kit. It works pretty well, Ctrl-Alt-Del has been replaced with f10-f12-Del. So far no users have worked it out and my guess is why would they?

Sometimes the most brilliant solutions are the simplest ones. I will have to remeber this one.
